Although we are traditionally trained and practiced engineers who have been sceptical of "AI hype", we have tested AI (namely LLM - Large Language Model) platforms on practical projects of varying complexity and found AI to be truly helpful (cost effective), provided one knows how to control AI. There is a plethora of scientific publications that demonstrate the successful application of AI to risk assessment and other complex tasks, not to mention manipulation of complex texts as found in CE documentation.
We are aware that there are many start-ups and SMEs that deeply feel the pain of compliance costs and regulatory deadlines. Automation and innovation are the way forward.

Thanks to AI technology that is already widely used by engineering consultants to boost their daily productivity, the same AI technology will be used by lay people once they have necessary know-how. This will democratise engineering services to become more easily accessible to product manufactures, not least to cost sensitive start-ups and SMEs with limited engineering expertise in house. This will have a positive feedback to the business bottom lines, encouraging them to innovate and bring new products to market quicker. All this will boost the EU and World economies. Our business will be among those who have directly contributed to this change of how engineering services are offered.
